About Rick and the Ranch

Dented K Quarter Horse Ranch was established in 1995, located in Central Minnesota. Rick Kaeter put all of his blood, sweat and tears into the program that we have today. Our broodmares are the foundation. Every decade brought a different stallion to improve on the previous.

Rick has been working with horses since 1998. The foundation of our training program is trust and establishing team work. It starts on the ground and grows from there to create a horse and rider experience similar to dancing as one. He has personally competed at national levels of mounted shooting along with both of his daughters. Between the three of them, they have won state and national championships titles in working cow, mounted shooting, and many other events. When Rick is working with the horses here on the ranch you can truly see the passion in his eyes for each and every animal he comes in contact with. His gift is equally matched by the level of care he has for every animal. Rick is always around to lend a helping hand, to those who are looking for lessons or advice.

As the months turned into years, our training program grew to include Grand daughters Kaydence and Kenzie. Their entire life has been spent learning how to work WITH horses and develop a trusting relationship. Their love of horses was obvious from the start and we couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments in the training and youth rodeo world.
